This is an absolute gem. We went for the Mother’s Day dinner, it was absolutely fantastic! The food is always amazing, you can tell Mario is doing what he loves etc but what really makes this place shine is the way they treat each person like their family. The customer service is above any for all staff Can’t wait to go back! ** forget to take pictures after the antipasto Due to this being a special event, a reservation was required.

What a gem! I’ve now been twice. A family run establishment with a clear passion for excellence in food and service. My wife and I recently shared in the Valentine’s Day set menu experience and Franca’s hit the mark again with a tastefully curated 4 course meal with live music. See the food photos attached. The flavouring was exceptional, the service was like being invited to a family dinner. A truly memorable experience Highly recommend for anyone wanting authentic Italian cuisine. My next experience will be their pizza! Stay tuned

We LOVED this family-run restaurant. We were cared for so kindly as if they were hosting us in their own home. AND THE FOOD!!! It was beyond our expectations. My husband (who is very serious about food and eating and a chef himself) had goosebumps. We'll certainly be back.

We stoped in this amazing place on the way to the Calgary airport. All I can say is WOW what a find. The service was top shelf and the food was so authentic.. I wish I took a picture of the mains. I’m so glad we shared everything so I could try it all.(I suggest sharing). The deserts and espresso finished off the meal. Franca; the owner, even has beautiful photos of her Nonna’s house in Italy posted in the restaurant. We could not be more happy with our choice. We will be returning 100%. If I could give bonus stars I would. Ps. after writing this review while sitting at the table Franca gave us delicious homemade limoncello on the house.

Franca's has the best, most authentic Italian cuisine in the city. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and they make everyone feel like family. The food is delicious, and the specials are things you can't get anywhere else. I would 100% recommend Franca's to anyone who likes Italian food and atmosphere, whether it's a first date or a family outing, you will not be disappointed

We have found our new favourite local restaurant! What a beautiful and welcoming restaurant with the most DELICIOUS & fresh Italian food. The staff all made us feel like family; it felt like home. Our waitress was the absolute BEST . Franca, the owner and namesake, came to our table and introduced herself to us. I recommend the burrata - it was to die for and a house specialty! We shared the pollo parmigiana and it was everything I could have dreamed of. To finish we each ordered our own dessert with a cappuccino (you MUST get one, it was divine!). Franca surprised us with an after dinner treat - I won't ruin the surprise, but you should sip it not shoot it (like my husband did, LOL!) I cannot recommend this restaurant enough- it is a must try in Calgary!

Absolutely delicious food, fantastic service, and a warm, cozy atmosphere! This place is perfect for date night, a family dinner, or catching up with the girls over great conversation and even better food. I’ve known Franca for years, and I can honestly say I’ve never had Italian cuisine—or desserts—that come close to the quality and heart she puts into every dish. You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every bite. Highly recommend!

What a great hidden gem! Walked in and the dining room was full, The staff pulled a table from the back and sat us without complaint. The food was amazing and tasted like freshly made. Had a pasta and a pizza and neither disappointed. Absolutely recommend
